Sweet Blush Pink First Wedding at The Sinclair of Skaneateles

When Emily and Adam told us they’d be hosting their wedding reception at The Sinclair of Skaneateles, we were super stoked to hear about this up and coming venue! From the moment they booked us, we would check out progress photos of the space in anticipation of photographing the first official wedding reception held there. Our excitement levels were basically through the roof! So, Sarah and Jenn we’re happy to attend the venue’s open house weeks before their big day to get a feel of the finished space all spruced up to show the hard work they’ve put into it.

Emily and Adam’s day started sharing their day with SHP during the getting ready process. Being able to document this special time definitely adds to the wedding day’s photography collection as a whole, especially if the couple plans to be surrounded by their loved ones or exchange gifts. Adam set up base with his guys at Emily’s Aunt’s home. They filled their bellies with food, traded thoughts on the dinner rehearsal happenings from the night before, planned what they would do during the intros later, and ribbed each other hardcore as they got into their formal attire. Thank goodness Emily’s uncle was there to help with the cufflinks and ties! Emily, surrounded by her favorite ladies at her parents home, slipped into her gorgeous blush colored David Tutera gown and topped her ensemble off with her garter belt made from a piece of her mother’s wedding gown.

After they made it official at St. Hyacinth Church (and posed for formal portraits of their newly formed families!), everyone headed to The Sinclair to explore the fresh venue for wedding party and newly wed photographs. Emily and Adam hired Courtney Henson of Magically Yours Weddings to plan out and execute their perfect day. She did a stunning job assisting Emily and her mom with the decor! The candles, wine cork details, lace, tiny succulent take-aways and sparkle contrasted in a lovely way with the rustic yet industrial interior of the venue. Every inch of the reception space was personalized for Emily and Adam!

The bride and groom choose Moscow Mules as their signature cocktail and each table was adorn with two bottles of wine. As the drinks began to flow and the wedding party posed for their close ups, Scratch Farmhouse Catering unveiled to the guests a stunning spread of local meats, cheeses, spreads and bread for cocktail hour. Not only was it tasty, it was beautiful to just look at!

The Sinclair allows for a smooth transition from indoors to outdoors, marked by a cozy see through fireplace in the wall separating the dining area from the gardens. With Courtney’s help, Emily and Adam took full advantage of the garden space by setting up vignette sitting areas across the grounds for guest to relax in and even creating “The Peppermint Lounge” (a neat little nook for cigar aficionados complete with all the tools needed and personalized cigars!).

Emily and Adam were introduced to their guests by the fireplace and shared their first dance on the first floor. Some of their guests took in the moment from up high, nestled into the look outs in the old chair factory walls on the second floor. The venue provides chairs that were made it that very building back in the factory’s heyday, giving them new life! After endearing parent dances, everyone sat to share a family style meal and prepared for the dance floor. There were talks of a late a night pierogi bar, so everyone was sure the party was just getting started!

DJ Hump got the party going with a family tradition – a polka! Family of all ages joined together for this super fun dance. While the guests showed up and did not disappoint on the dance floor, Sarah & Wesley scoped the grounds for an epic end of the night shot. They had Emily and Adam outside and posing under twinkle lights and back into the party swiftly and just in time for the pierogi bar!

We hope you enjoy some highlights from Emily & Adam’s classy, quintessential wedding day:

Congratulations & Best Wishes, Mr. & Mrs. Smith! #yetanothersmith
